Evolving two Rhydon was a pain! Not many Kanto Pokémon left now to get on this LeafGreen save file: both Mr. Mime and Magmar; Male Pinsir and Lapras; Female Eevee, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Omanyte, Omastar, and Aerodactyl; Male Dratini; and both Dragonair and Dragonite.
Recently, I achieved Level 60 in Pokémon TCG Pocket. I now have 85 emblems and 75 profile icons with B3 recently dropping. I try to aim to complete every mission and get 2 copies of every 1 ♦️, 2 ♦️, 3 ♦️ and 4 ♦️, and even 1 ⭐ where possible. I usually both copies of 1 ♦️ and 2 ♦️ midway through the month and 4 ♦️ by the end. I am currently trying to catch up with my missing 3 ♦️ cards as well as my Holofoils. These are the 50 ♦️ (all 3 ♦️) cards except Holofoils I still need second copies of from before B3:
I’ve filled storage slots up until Exeggcute now that don’t require trades. I’ve also prepared Kadabra, Machoke, Graveler, and Haunter to evolve. I think I should be done with what I can collect from a single LeafGreen save file in a couple of weeks. I believe there is a maximum of 350.
While I’ve only just got over a box worth more of Pokémon since last week, I have done 3 of the annoying happiness-based evolutions. I’ve still got to do Chansey and the other Togetic.
The other upcoming challenges are Safari Zone Pokémon and breeding the female starter and fossil Pokèmon. My Venusaur is level 95 now, so I’m sure it’ll reach level 100 by next week.
After around ~240 throws, I finally caught Entei in a Poké Ball. I used Ariados with Quick Claw, which had a 20% of not letting Entei flee, followed by Spider Web that prevented it from fleeing directly, followed by BPing to Electrode which also prevented it from fleeing via Roar. I was able to use about 60 Poké Balls a time. So it took me around 20 encounters to finally succeed.
I’ve counted 172 Pokémon / 421 Pokémon in my Poké Ball Genderful Living Pokédex after some more breeding/evolving following that. So it’s now just a case of breeding/evolving wherever possible, including doing the in-game trades before I start my journey on FireRed. Maybe I can do a level 5 living dex on there.
So this week I basically beat the Post-Game and caught every non-Shiny Unown. I’m currently repeatedly encountering a low health asleep Entei to try to catch it. I’m using a Wobbuffet to trap it for 2+ turns.
I calculated that you can pretty much fit a full gender in-game living dex into the boxes (420 spaces). Although you don’t quite have space for Deoxys (421st), which can be in your party I suppose.
Last night I did Victory Road and then beat the Elite Four with my starter, the legendary birds, Snorlax and my Spearow that’s there just to use Fly. Agatha was the hardest because I had bad coverage for her. Oddly, Champion Blue was very straightforward, as was Lance since I used Thunder and Ice Beam. I’ll probably be done with the post-game by next week. Then it will be a case of completing my living both genders dex, remembering to get both starters from the other version.
I’ve finally started Pokémon LeafGreen this week. My goal is to have a complete living form dex with both genders where possible. I probably only have about 50 or so at present. I’ve been battling every trainer so far and have been using a level 60 male Venusaur (my starter) and a level 34 female Snorlax recently (the one I caught at Celadon). I’m trying to obtain everything in a Poké Ball too, so I will breed my Safari Ball catches.
I reached Level 73 on Pokémon GO a couple of days ago.
I now have 41 hundo level 50 best buddies and working on buddying up two more.
I’ve also got more than 100 candy for every Pokémon I have except the recent Glimmet. I also want to get 11 more candy in Toedscool so I have 150 candy, ready to evolve to Toedscruel and reduce back to 100 and 75 more candy for Applin for its gen 9 evolutions.
Additionally, I have 921 3 star Pokémon in my living (species) dex now, just 104 less than the national dex as of gen 9 and 18 missing from those in the game:
This week I finished off improving my Pre-DLC times.
First was vs Rogue Mega Banette, where I reused Sharpedo with no new moves. I did reorder things and anticipate which way they would move in order to optimise my run though.
Second was vs Rogue Mega Altaria, where I realized a critical hit with Steel Beam could finish it off faster than with Gengar. Luckily when the critical hit finally came, I was on a pretty good run.
I had previously done a sub 80 second recorded run with Simulated Zygarde, one of the eleven new simulations. I improved that to sub 70s.
And I also recorded a sub 35 second run for Mega Absol Z, using Magearna’s Fleur Cannon.
I’m working on a few others of the remaining 9, so hopefully I can add most of them in the next upcoming week.
Also, I found out there was a discovered glitch that uses forfeit to cancel move cooldowns. I used it with Rayquaza vs Rogue Mega Victreebel to lower that time by about 2 seconds. I will record the runs where a time save is possible with this glitch probably after I’ve finished uploading good times for the remaining 9 new simulations.
