Yesterday I got 10 closer by hatching Shellder, Scyther and Elekid and evolving into Cloyster and Electabuzz. Female Bellossom, two Slowking and two Scizor still need to be obtained by evolving via items found in the Sevii Islands. So just the 6 left for Kanto now (the Squirtle line) and 19 more Johto Pokémon.

Yesterday I got to only 35 Pokémon away from completing the all genders living Pokédex.

The remaining Pokémon to breed/obtain are: Male and Female Shellder, Cloyster, Scyther and Electabuzz for Kanto version exclusives (8); Female Bellossom, Male and Female Wooper, Quagsire, Murkrow, Slowking, Qwilfish, Scizor, Delibird, Skarmory and Elekid (19) for Johto version exclusives; Suicune (1) to obtain in the second save file; and the Squirtle line and Raikou (7) to obtain in the third save file. I could probably finish off Kanto in a week or two, but the rest might take a little longer.

Literally only got back into this last night. I managed breed 3 female Charmander after lots of hatches and added 5 more specimens in total after Evolution. I will try to breed 2 female Kabuto by next time and hopefully also make some progress breeding for the easier mons after I transfer some more. 52 to go!

I haven’t done too much, only adding 7: Male Charmander; Female and Male Psyduck and Golduck; and Male Kabuto and Kabutops to the collection. Breeding does take a while though. I’ve reached Cinnabar Island in FireRed.

I haven’t played too much since last time, but I evolved the two Tyranitar, and played FireRed until I could trade—and did the 15 available trade evolutions. Next is breeding for the Charmander line. I also may start the other FireRed save file to get the Squirtle line. Then it’ll be a case of going through either save files to get the Kabuto line and all the version exclusives and both to get Suicune and Raikou.

After counting more accurately, it seems 342 is the maximum to collect in one LeafGreen save file alone. I’ve prepared all the trade evolutions except the 2 more King’s Rock I need from another save file. I just have to evolve male and female Larvitar into Tyranitar and then it’s time to start FireRed!

I went over 100 hours played this week. Hatching the 1:7 female Pokémon took ages, particularly for the last Eevee in particular, which probably took some 30+ egg hatches. Evolving for Dragonair and Dragonite is my next task and then onto filling in the LeafGreen Johto gaps.

Evolving two Rhydon was a pain! Not many Kanto Pokémon left now to get on this LeafGreen save file: both Mr. Mime and Magmar; Male Pinsir and Lapras; Female Eevee, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Omanyte, Omastar, and Aerodactyl; Male Dratini; and both Dragonair and Dragonite.

Edit: Bulbasaur line to get female too.

I’ve filled storage slots up until Exeggcute now that don’t require trades. I’ve also prepared Kadabra, Machoke, Graveler, and Haunter to evolve. I think I should be done with what I can collect from a single LeafGreen save file in a couple of weeks. I believe there is a maximum of 350.

This is my 100th blog post!

While I’ve only just got over a box worth more of Pokémon since last week, I have done 3 of the annoying happiness-based evolutions. I’ve still got to do Chansey and the other Togetic.

The other upcoming challenges are Safari Zone Pokémon and breeding the female starter and fossil Pokèmon. My Venusaur is level 95 now, so I’m sure it’ll reach level 100 by next week.
